This sweet senior spent his entire life with a family before suddenly turning up as a stray. Despite the Georgia staff sending letters and placing phone calls, his previous owners never came for him. Now, as we see in the video, this lovely shelter dog finds himself sitting in a lonely kennel, entirely confused about why he became invisible.

Levi arrived at Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta, Georgia, as a stray on May 30. According to the post, he was microchipped, so the shelter reached out to the family connected to his chip and even mailed a letter to the listed address. Still, nobody came for him.
Watching Levi interact with the volunteer only makes this abandonment harder to process. He walks over the moment she’s ready to take him outside, calmly slips into his leash, and accepts every treat with perfect manners. He looks contented when he gets a few head scratches. And before long, he’s sitting politely in front of the camera, patiently waiting for more treats. It’s the kind of easy routine that makes it seem like he’s done this with someone he trusted for years.
Outside, Levi gets a welcome break from kennel life. He happily runs after balls, stretches his legs, and enjoys every extra second of attention before it’s time to head back. Then, just as calmly, he returns to his kennel and sits when asked, never making a fuss.
As the caption explains, Levi has now spent more than six weeks waiting. Seven years old is considered senior for a German Shepherd, but he still looks eager to play, learn, and be loved.
