Trying to practice a musical instrument usually requires a quiet room, but one talented singer has a much better setup. Musician Brenly Faye shares her living room jam sessions on Instagram at @brenlyfaye for her growing audience. But her favorite audience member happens to be her gorgeous Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. A viral video shows how this sweet dog happily snuggles his owner during a sweet singing session. And he’s the best kind of fan because he really does not mind a single missed chord or note.
Dog stays right by owner’s side during signing session and doesn’t care for perfection
The video shows Brenly lying flat on her back on a blue living room rug. She is strumming a banjo and singing Connie Francis’s “Pretty Little Baby” for her audience. But right beside her, her cute pup is also lounging flat on his back, happy to be breathing the same air. Tolling Retrievers are famously affectionate and thrive on being part of family activities, and that is exactly what he is doing here.
Next, we see the furball rolling over as his owner starts the second line, happily searching for snuggles against his owner. He fits his snout perfectly into the crook of her neck. This unexpected move causes the singer to burst out laughing. Even when her entire body vibrates from giggling, the dog refuses to move a single inch.
He stays parked right there, completely unbothered by the sudden giggles. He clearly loves the performance, wrong notes and all. Brenly notes in the caption that they love just “pickin and grinnin” together on the floor. She also often calls him her biggest fan.
The adorable moment quickly racked up over 57.2k likes from delighted viewers. People are completely obsessed with his supportive attitude. One follower commented that the dog is totally fan-boying over the performance. Another person joked that he is easily her most unbiased critic. He simply seems happy to be included in the acoustic session. Having a pet who appreciates raw talent without judging mistakes seems to be the ultimate blessing.
