Teaching a pup about personal space is almost impossible when their favorite person walks through the front door. Over at @rhubarbthedoggo, Rhubarb is currently failing her latest etiquette lesson in the most adorable way. Her mom tries to give her a quick pep talk about boundaries because her aunt is on her way over for a visit. Rhubarb sits there looking like an angel in her beaded necklace. However, as her bio tells us, she is all about daily doses of cuddles. The dog clearly has her own ideas about what “staying polite” actually looks like.

The clip starts with Rhubarb looking very composed for the camera. And the in-video text tells us what mom instructed her to do when her aunt arrived at home, “Rhubarb, your aunty is coming over, please remember boundaries.” And for a second, it really looks like she might. But then the video cuts, and all those rules go straight out the window.
Suddenly, we see a total cuddle fest happening on the living room couch. Rhubarb plants her entire body on her aunty’s chest and starts an absolute onslaught of kisses. This Pit Bull mix doesn’t have a shy bone in her body, and so she just goes for it. Her relative is beaming while trying to lean away from the wet nose. However, we know that it is a losing battle for the human.
The visitor eventually gives in and returns a kiss. But Rhubarb isn’t finished with the affection yet. The dog decides to rest her face directly on her human’s chin while staring out the window. It looks like her aunt is buried under a pile of velvet fur. You can even hear her laughing from somewhere underneath the pup. One fan joked that Rhubarb is just respecting her own specific boundaries.
She has basically claimed her visitor as her own property. Plum, the Dachshund, eventually joins the pile on the couch, too. All of them are soaking up all the love they can get. And there’s enough to go around. This video picked up nearly 10,000 likes in less than a day. Her mom asked in the caption how Rhubarb fared. And, everyone in the comments thinks she got a perfect 10 out of 10.
