Whenever you step out with your dog, you already know what to expect. A simple walk or quick errand can turn into smiles from strangers, friendly comments, and people stopping just to say hello. That’s because dogs have a way of drawing attention with their charm and cuteness. That’s exactly the vibe one Golden Retriever gives off in a video that’s now making people laugh online.

Golden Retriever proves his popularity with ladies in video

Bentley, who goes by @thespicygoldenn on Instagram, is showing the world what it means to be a true “ladies man.” In a video shared to his account, the Golden Retriever is seen riding in an elevator alongside his owner and several other women. What makes the moment stand out is Bentley’s determination to walk himself.

With a retractable leash clenched gently in his mouth, Bentley calmly strolls in small circles, looking perfectly content as he takes charge of his own walk. The leash remains taut as he moves, giving the impression that he’s fully in control of the situation. The on-screen text humorously reads, “My golden is always trying to impress the ladies.”

As Bentley continues his slow, confident pacing, his owner can be heard asking him if he’s walking himself. She then turns to the other women in the elevator and jokingly vouches for her dog, explaining that Bentley is “very independent.”  In the caption, his owner further adds to the joke by writing, “What can I say he’s a ladies man.”

Golden Retrievers are known for seeking out human connection, even beyond their immediate families. They’re naturally attentive to the people around them and often enjoy being acknowledged by strangers. Because of this people-focused temperament, they rarely shy away from attention and tend to appear comfortable being watched or admired. Over time, these traits have helped cement the breed’s reputation as one of the most socially adaptable dogs. In Bentley’s case, it’s easy to see how he earned his “ladies man” reputation.
